PLT Training Days on website 

Protected Learning Time (PLT) is an opportunity for GP practices to address staff learning and professional development needs.  The content of the PLT sessions is focused around the local priorities and needs of our patients.

If you’re worried about an urgent medical concern, you can call 111 to speak to a fully trained adviser.  Depending on the situation, the NHS 111 team can connect you to a nurse, emergency dentist or a GP, and can arrange face-to-face appointments if they think you need one.  NHS 111 advisers can also assess if you need an ambulance and send one immediately if necessary.

Accident and Emergency attendance is advised if you have a genuine life threatening emergency

The surgery will be closed from 14:00 to 18:00 on the following days:

Treatment room nurse

pill_takingThe practice nurses have their own clinics, including immunisation, cervical smears, ear syringing, blood tests, dressing, removal of stitches, travel vaccinations and advice on foreign travel medical requirements.

They also hold clinics for well women, well man, heart, stroke, diabetic, hypertension, asthma, diabetes, and preventive medicine clinics.

We also undertake an annual health screening for the elderly.


A full range of contraceptive services is offered including coil and cap fittings.

Maternity services

Antenatal and postnatal care is undertaken either completely or shared with the local hospital

Minor surgery

The doctors carry out several minor operations and joint injections at the surgery. Please ring the reception to book an appointment.

FLU Vaccinations

FLU Vaccinations are done annually starting from Mid September. Please book with the receptionist from beginning of September to receive your annual flu jabs.
